In May of this year we invited a panel of union leaders to discuss how COVID-19 has impacted the exhibits and events industry and, as a result, has put our industry’s union workforce at a standstill.    At that time there was considerable hope that we would see a return to normalcy during this 3rd quarter.   We now know that the re-opening of events will likely not take place until sometime in 2021.  To make matters worse the federal government has done nothing more to support those companies in our industry who have been at a standstill since March and who have run out of the assistance provide by the PPP portion of the CARES Act.   And the additional unemployment benefits that were available this summer are also gone.

This program will provide an update on the ways that union leaders are addressing the needs of their members, both present and future, and what they are doing to maintain a level of connection and engagement that will make the ramping up process in the future more manageable.
