Employee Engagement Webcast on Friday, March 23

It is an approach that increases the chances of business success, contributing to organizational and individual performance, productivity and well-being. It can be measured. It varies from poor to great.

In this program learn how It can be nurtured and dramatically increased;

EACA Joins UBM Americas in Safety Initiative

The EACA was recently made aware that UBM has created a new initiative to improve safety at all its shows by requesting that each EAC provide show management with a copy of their current workers comp experience MOD.  If the MOD rate is in excess of 1.4 the EAC in question would not be allowed to work the show.

Recognizing that the publishers of experience MOD rates specifically state that these numbers are not a reputable indication of safety (as opposed to its defined purpose which determines premium rates), the EACA reached out to UBM to offer its support and expertise to assist with creating a heightened awareness about safety during move-in and move-out.

The first two UBM events impacted by this effort are Enterprise Connect in Orlando and Game Developers in San Francisco.    All EACA members are requested to support show floor safety efforts by not only your usual safety briefings at the beginning of each work day but to also be on the lookout to stop and correct any unsafe showfloor behavior you may come across.

New Safety Protocols for SOFIC 2018

EACA has been requested to notify all members of new security protocols for SOFIC 2018.

EAC/I&D houses will be able to check in at a security desk on the loading dock at their scheduled/targeted booth move in times. Security will be provided a list of approved EAC’s based on the companies that have sent certificates of insurance to Arata Expositions, Inc. and NDIA.  If an EAC form and certificate of insurance has not been provided to Arata Expositions or NDIA, the EAC and I&D house personnel will not be allowed access into the exhibit hall.   Please see page 37 of the exhibitor service manual for EAC instructions and deadline dates.  If the company is on the approved list, EAC supervisors and all labor personnel will receive security wristbands that must be worn at all times during move in and move out.

Wristbands will be different colors on each day and must be picked up daily at the security desk located on the loading dock. EAC/I&D supervisors are responsible for verifying that all personnel authorized to work for the company are wearing the security wristbands.

Should an EAC need to be on the show floor past 10:00 PM on Monday night, they will be required to register at the main registration desk and obtain a conference badge to access the show floor. Wristbands will not gain you access to the show floor during show days until move out begins.
