EACA Unveils New Job Board.There is a new Job Board on the EACA web site to assist members identify, locate and hire key personnel needed for company growth.   Features of this new Job Board include email alerts to job seekers when new jobs are posted to the site.  Employers can also have their listing prioritized and advertised.

One piece of important advice from our friends and EACA member, Employco USA.   All job listings must begin to include pay ranges for the position posted.

Momentum Mgmt Names Waskiewicz City Manager of DC/Baltimore  Steve Waskiewicz has been added to Momentum Management’s team and has assumed the role of City Manager for DC/Baltimore. With a remarkable 15-year tenure in the tradeshow industry, he boasts an impressive portfolio. Prior to this, he served as the DC/Baltimore City Manager for several other labor companies, following a successful career as a salesman and sales manager for a heavy equipment company. Waskiewicz dedicated 12 years as a city manager.

Marlena Sullivan Joins ECN as Digital Editor <Exhibit City News>  Exhibit City News has announced Marlena Sullivan has joined them as their new Digital Editor. Sullivan has just returned to Las Vegas after living abroad for two years. Having recently completed her Masters in Creative Writing in Scotland, for the past five years Sullivan had been putting her Bachelors in Theatre and Business to use working in production. She’s looking at completing her Doctorate in Creative Writing in the future.

Brumark Announces New Sr. Account Coordinator <Exhibit City News>  Brumark Total Flooring Solutions recently welcomed Rachel Rodriguez to the company as their new Senior Account Coordinator.  Brumark National Account Executive, Alec Pierson comments on LinkedIn, “Some might say dream team? Welcome to the Brumark & Exploring, Inc. family Rachel Rodriguez! BIG things ahead!” Atlanta based Exploring, Inc. is the parent company of Chicago based Brumark.

Rodriguez started as an HSVB service technician with TradeTec Skyline before becoming an account coordinator. After five years she moved to Fieldwork, Inc, and then Ion Exhibits, gaining experience as project manager and account coordinator respectively. Rodriguez settled in as project manager for Skyline Xtreme Xhibits prior to joining Brumark.

Employco USA Celebrates 45th Anniversary.  Rob Wilson, President of Employco USA, submitted this post on LinkedIn celebrating the company’s 45th anniversary.

45 years ago today, my Dad started our first business, Corporate Risk Management, Inc. He believed in himself and had the vision to open up his own business even with 3 kids in grade school. The day after New Years he was out cold calling in a snow storm meeting new prospects.  Thank you Dad!   I wish you were here to see the legacy that you created and the 3rd generation taking The Wilson Companies to the next level!

ECA Supports Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act   The ECA recently reported that the Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act received its 100 co-sponsor in the House of Representatives last month.

This legislation would give Americans the flexibility of using their 529 savings plans to cover the costs of certain workforce training and credentialing programs. By covering tuition, exam and training costs associated with workforce certifications and licenses, 529 plans would be transformed from college savings plans to career savings plans and help workers secure in-demand, good paying jobs like those that our industry offers.
