EACA Mobile App is Coming.   The EACA is working on the development of a “Help Desk” mobile app that will allow our community of members to share project critical information in real time.   Additional information about how and when you can download this app to support your efforts will be coming soon.

The Expo Group Share New White Paper on Invisible Exhibitor.   The Expo Group recently concluded a study of trade show exhibitor needs and released the findings in a white paper now available online. The study updates the original 2008 study The Invisible Exhibitor, examining what has changed over the last decade.   The Invisible Exhibitor: What They’re STILL Not Telling You details the plight of exhibitors, 75% of whom revealed they believe show management could and should be doing more to help them. The paper reveals findings and outlines solutions for issues exhibitors face today including Staggering Velocity, New Digital Citizens, Business Incubation and the hunger for Innovation.  The white paper is available for download at theexpogroup.com/invisible.

Patsy Garrity Passes Away.   Patricia (Patsy) Garrity, a long-time industry veteran, passed away Wednesday morning, May 29.    She was born in Meridian, Mississippi, and had a very distinguished and fulfilling tradeshow career running show services for several leading tradeshow companies including Heritage Communications, Lincoln Studios and finally MC2 where she retired. According to her son, Shawn Garrity, Circle TPR CEO, “Her passions included her family, her show floor memories and all things New England sports. She will be remembered as a loving mother, passionate friend and ultimate social butterfly.”

$300k Video Wall Collapses in Las Vegas <Exhibit City News>  Photo of the aftermath of a video wall’s critical failure during its dismantle at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas were posted on Reddit on May 9. While no entity has come forward to officially confirm the mishap, industry professionals estimated the cost of the damage to be in excess of $300,000 with some sources estimating that the damage tops out well over $700,000 in materials alone without adding in the cost of labor required to clean up the likely totaled video wall of LED tiles.

EDPA Announces Return of Mid-Year Engage Meeting.   The Experiential Designers & Producers Association (EDPA) recently announced the return of their mid-year Engage conference, a new program which debuted to great success last year (June 2018) and will return to the legendary University Club in downtown Chicago on Thurs. June 27, 2019. 2019.

Marquis Exhibits Opens Las Vegas HQ<Exhibit City News>.    Marquis Exhibits began daily operations from their new headquarters and warehouse located at 1945 E.
