EACA Member Meeting at The Randy. The EACA will be hosting a meeting for all members in Atlanta for The Randy. EACA members will be gathering for a breakfast meeting on Friday, September 27 at Chateau Elan. The meeting will begin at 9am and a continental breakfast will be provided.
We would appreciate an RSVP if you will be able to attend so we can make the appropriate arrangements. And, you are also welcome to request items for the agenda that you’d like to hear about.
Survey Your Employees Engagement Level. EACA members can still take advantage of an Employee Engagement Survey to be conducted by EACA’s Affinity Partner, Employco USA. Employco will accept new survey requests until September 30 so that their work can be completed by the end of the month.
Employee engagement – or the commitment and energy that employees bring to work – impacts productivity and performance. Employee engagement has been linked to decreased turnover rates and increased productivity, efficiency and profits. By identifying areas that may be hindering employee engagement, your company can focus on improving those areas to strive toward a more engaged, productive and profitable workforce – and now that’s something Employco can help you with.

Still Time to Sponsor the 30th Annual Randy. The date of the 30th Annual Randy Smith Memorial Golf Classic is approaching rapidly and there is still time to join the more than 275 industry professionals who will be participating.. This year’s event takes place on September 26 at Chateau Elan in Braselton, GA.

Check out the New EACA Job Board.There is a new Job Board on the EACA web site to assist members identify, locate and hire key personnel needed for company growth. Features of this new Job Board include email alerts to job seekers when new jobs are posted to the site. Employers can also have their listing prioritized and advertised.
One piece of important advice from our friends and EACA member, Employco USA. All job listings must begin to include pay ranges for the position posted.

RSNA Offers Virtual Office Hours to EACA members. Jorie Dydo, who handles Operations for RSNA, has offered a series of Virtual Office Hours for EACs to help in the planning of services for clients at this year’s show.
RSNA is committed to supporting our exhibitors and I want to make sure you know about all of the opportunities available to ensure you and your clients have a successful show. These live Q&A sessions with RSNA staff and invited guests will help you learn more about the scheduled topic and get questions answered for your clients. We answer any and all questions, even if not directly related to the weekly scheduled topic.

EACA Pulse Survey. EACA has taken a pulse survey from our Advisory Board and has received information about the following trends impacting our members and their clients;
- Material handling rates continue to climb forcing some exhibitors to downsize their booth space
- Exhibit rentals are on the increase as compared to modular or customer display purchases
- Reacting to increase costs exhibitors are conducting searches for new suppliers
EACA Members Are Encouraged to Obtain the 2023 Exhibitor Advocate Survey of Exhibition Rates. EACA members can utilize this report to showcase their understanding of the importance of staying ahead of industry trends and equipping their partners with the tools they need to succeed. Not only will the report provide valuable information for exhibitors, but it will also position the EAC as an indispensable ally to their clients.
This year the survey’s scope has been expanded to include forklift and hanging sign rates. The full report was crafted with the support and collaboration of Tradeshow Logic, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners and independently verified by Evolio

Northstar/Cvent Meeting Industry Pulse Survey <Northstar Meetings Group> The latest Meetings Industry PULSE Survey, co-produced and sponsored by Cvent, reveals that high costs remain among planners’ most pressing concerns. However, the investment is wise: 78 percent of the 470 survey respondents say face-to-face gatherings are more valuable than other sales, marketing and business-development initiatives.
Among other noteworthy findings:
- Optimism levels and new booking activity are down from one year ago.
- Florida and California are leading other U.S. states in attracting new meetings business.
- One year ago, only 32 percent of planners expected to be using AI tools. Today, 42 percent are using them.
- One-third of organizations added events staff this year, and 36 percent expect to add staff next year as well.

Caitlyn Correia Succeeds Father at BlueHive <Exhibit City News> BlueHive Exhibits of Worcester, MA has named Caitlyn Correia as its next CEO continuing her family’s trade show legacy into its third generation and first generation as a women-owned and run business.
Correia succeeds her father, Paul Hanlon, who previously served as CEO of BlueHive. Paul will continue to be part of the BlueHive family as a consultant but wants his future focus on being a grandfather to Caitlyn’s two young children.
After graduating with an MBA from Endicott College in 2012, Correia has held a variety of positions across the company including roles in the shop, accounting, account management, operations, and marketing.
