Survey Your Employees Engagement Level. EACA members can now take advantage of an Employee Engagement Survey to be conducted by EACA’s Affinity Partner, Employco USA.
Employee engagement – or the commitment and energy that employees bring to work – impacts productivity and performance. Employee engagement has been linked to decreased turnover rates and increased productivity, efficiency and profits. By identifying areas that may be hindering employee engagement, your company can focus on improving those areas to strive toward a more engaged, productive and profitable workforce – and now that’s something Employco can help you with.

Ernest N. Morial CC Announces Waste Diversion Policy and Programs The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center has come a long way in improving our look, technology and sustainability performance, including:
A $557 M capital improvement plan, LEED Gold certification, additional Recycling programs, and upgrades to the look and functions of the dock waste system. We have focused this year on improving our recycling rate – or Waste Diversion – by auditing exhibit hall waste at the facility, benchmarking and adopting best practices. To that end, we are rolling out new Waste Diversion policies that will be in effect Jan. 1, 2025, to reduce the amount of recyclable and re-usable materials in the landfill – with a focus on carpet products (carpet, padding and tubes).
This program requires the involvement and cooperation of all contractors that work in the building.
See attached flyer, and Website for details: www.MCCNO.com/WasteDiversion

William Nixon, Sr. Passes Away. The EACA offers its condolences to Bill Nixon, Jr., the Nixon family, and all the Willwork family and friends on the passing of Bill Nixon, Sr. “Coach” Nixon was a legendary figure in high school basketball at Oliver Ames HS. Coaching the Varsity team from 1970-1994 he garnered 11 Hockomock League Championships and appearances in the Massachusetts South Division II finalist tournament in 1975, 1976 and 1980. From 1974 to 1977 his team posted a 38-game consecutive winning streak in the league. His record upon retirement was 377W-175L. No coach in Hockomock League history has won more games or league championships.
Coach will be greatly missed but the difference he made in the lives of so many will forever live on in their minds and hearts. The true measure of a life well lived.
