In a process managed by the Army Corps of Engineers and FEMA, numbers of event industry convention centers are being converted to field hospitals to back fill the capacity of local hospitals and healthcare services. Overall responsibility and administration of these projects are typically being awarded to large construction companies who don’t normally operate in convention facilities which opens up subcontracting opportunities for exhibit and event contractors.
This week’s program will review the process by which these projects are bid on and rewarded as well as the type of materials and labor requirements that are part of the bid process.
