EACA to Honor 25 Year members at ExhibitorLive.    The EACA will be honoring those companies that have been members in good standing for 25 years at the EACA 25th Anniversary Reception at ExhibitorLive.   The reception takes place on Monday, April 24 at 3:15 pm (at close of exhibits) in Room L013.    All members are invited. Merkin Joins 3D Exhibits <TSNN> Thirty-year exhibit industry veteran Kim Merkin has joined leading exhibit agency 3D Exhibits as vice president, strategic accounts, responsible for elevating client management and driving key account growth.

Merkin joins the 3D team after 20 years at Czarnowski. With additional stints at Exhibitgroup/Giltspur before that, she brings a deep understanding of the exhibit landscape to her new role.

CORT Welcomes DeSarno <Exhibit City News>  CORT Events welcomes Phil DeSarno in the newly created role of vice president of sales, marketing, and merchandising. DeSarno, who previously served as assistant vice president of a rental manufacturer business at Enterprise Holding Inc., joins CORT Events with more than 27 years of experience in strategic sales where he led teams across multiple divisions, helping to facilitate both profitable growth and revenue.

Crew XP Announces Las Vegas Investment <Exhibit City News>   Crew XP, the specialist provider of tradeshow services, announced a $5,000,000 investment in its Las Vegas operations. The company’s investment in a local facility, project management, exhibit rental fabrication, event labor and logistical support meets the booming demand for services from its rapidly growing exhibit house and experiential agency partner clients.

EACA Members are Invited to the 25th Anniversary Celebration at ExhibitorLive.  The EACA’s 25th Anniversary will bring about a special celebration at ExhibitorLive in Louisville, KY (April 23-27, 2023 at the Kentucky International Convention Center).   All EACA members are invited to attend.

The 25th Anniversary Celebration Reception takes place on Monday, April 24 from 3:15pm to 5:15pm in Room L013 where the association will recognize all its Past Presidents, and all those companies who have been members for 25 years.  In addition, EACA will be distributing its 25th Anniversary Directory to all in attendance to chronicle the initiatives and accomplishments of the past 25 years and to celebrate its members.

Take Advantage of New Health Insurance Offering. The EACA has recently joined the Small Association Leadership Alliance (SALA) in order to take advantage of their health insurance programs which can offer discounts up to 50% of what companies and individuals typically pay for coverages with carriers like Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

Informa Acquires Tarsus Group  <TSNN> In the largest post-pandemic exhibition acquisition deal by far, Informa has bought Tarsus Group from private equity firm Charterhouse Capital Partners for $940 million. The acquisition was funded with cash and $210m of new Informa shares.

“We have long admired the Tarsus business which, like Informa, has been built around major brands in attractive, specialist B2B markets in the growing regions of Asia, China, the Middle East and the Americas,” said Informa Group CEO Stephen A. Carter (pictured here).

ESA and Reed Announce Cancellation of E3 <TSNN> E3, the world’s premier celebration of interactive entertainment, will not take place in person or digitally this year, according to an announcement by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) and ReedPop, the show’s organizer. 
Blackstone Acquires Cvent for $4.6 billion. <TSNN> Industry-leading meetings, events and hospitality technology provider Cvent Holding Corp. (“Cvent”) has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by an affiliate of private equity funds managed by Blackstone for approximately $4.6 billion.

TSNN Launches Exhibitor News Network <TSNN> TSNN the top online news source for the trade show industry, launched Exhibitor News Network (ENN), a new website, e-newsletter and social channels for exhibit management and event marketing professionals who participate in U.S. exhibition industry, valued at the $101 billion, according to the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR). Exhibitors represent 70% of the revenues generated from the trade show industry, CEIR research finds..

ExhibitorLive Will Take Place in 2023Mark Johnson, chairman and CEO of Minneapolis-based The STARGroup, recently confirmed that ExhibitorLive will take place in Louisville next April according to sources.   While this announcement has yet to be posted on their website, ExhibitorLive is scheduled to take place in Louisville on April 23-27, 2023 at the Kentucky International Convention Center.
