EACA Member Meeting at ACCESS.  The EACA will be holding a meeting for all EACA members in attendance at EDPA ACCESS.   The meeting takes place on Wednesday December 4 at 4:15pm in Desert Vista Ballroom A.  

The meeting will be an opportunity to review the EACA initiatives and accomplishments from 2024 and to get a sneak peek on plans for 2025.   Meeting Agenda.

EACA Board to Meet at EDPA ACCESS  The EACA has confirmed that we will hold our end of year Board meeting at EDPA ACCESS in Palm Springs, CA on Wednesday December 4.

The end of year EACA Board meeting includes the election of new Directors to the Board and the introduction of the new Officers for 2025.    EDPA ACCESS takes place Dec. 3-5 at the Grand Hyatt Regency Indian Wells in Palm Desert, CA.

LVCVA Provides December Parking Schedule.  In our ongoing cooperation with the LVCVA, the EACA has been provided with the Monthly Parking Activity – December 2024 at the convention center.

Check out the New EACA Job Board.There is a new Job Board on the EACA web site to assist members identify, locate and hire key personnel needed for company growth.   Features of this new Job Board include email alerts to job seekers when new jobs are posted to the site.  Employers can also have their listing prioritized and advertised.

One piece of important advice from our friends and EACA member, Employco USA.   All job listings must begin to include pay ranges for the position posted.

Walens Sells Brumark   Dave Walens shared the news on LinkedIn that he has sold Exploring, Inc.  Dave expressed his thanks and gratitude for every employee who supported the vision and contributed to this journey of building Exploring, Inc., Brumark , Exploring Graphics, a division of Exploring, Inc. ID3 Group.

EACA Members Are Encouraged to Obtain the 2023 Exhibitor Advocate Survey of Exhibition Rates.   EACA members can utilize this report to showcase their understanding of the importance of staying ahead of industry trends and equipping their partners with the tools they need to succeed. Not only will the report provide valuable information for exhibitors, but it will also position the EAC as an indispensable ally to their clients.

This year the survey’s scope has been expanded to include forklift and hanging sign rates.  The full report was crafted with the support and collaboration of Tradeshow Logic, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners and independently verified by Evolio

EDPA ACCESS Meets in Palm Desert.  EDPA is holding its annual meeting, ACCESS, in Palm Desert December 3-5.  Held at the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells,  EDPA ACCESS 2024 is described as packed with content designed to equip those attending with the data, tools, and insights to tackle today’s challenges head-on. This year, EDPA is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a focus on “Innovate. Elevate. Collaborate.”

Impact XM Acquires Matrex Exhibits <Exhibit City News>   Impact XM, a leading global event and experiential marketing agency, has acquired Matrex Exhibits, an award-winning exhibit, event, and environmental design firm with fabrication capabilities based in the greater Chicago area.

Spirit Airlines Files Chapter 11 <Meetings & Conventions>   While Spirit Airlines, the largest budget carrier in the United States, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection recently, the carrier said customers should not see any disruption to their travel plans while the process unfolds.

The filing followed years of struggles for the Florida-based airline, which is known for its no-frills, low-cost flights. Spirit has failed to bounce back from the pandemic, largely due to rising operating expenses and stiffer competition. The airline has lost more than $2.5 billion since the beginning of 2020, while also racking up mounting debt.

Boeing Lays Off 2200 Workers in Washington <Meetings & Conventions>   Boeing said in a notice filed with Washington’s Employment Security Department on Monday that so far it has laid off 2,199 workers in the state, among job cuts that will eventually total about 17,000 across the company.

The aerospace giant announced in October that it planned to cut about 10 percent of its workforce in the coming months as it struggles to recover from financial and regulatory troubles, as well as a strike by its machinists that lasted nearly two months.
